Services
The RPCU's services for users and in-patients committees are threefold: representation, support and training.
Representation
- publicize the mission and concerns of users and in-patients committees to government, the general public and the media, by acting as their spokesperson
- work in collaboration and consultation with all network bodies
- be a privileged and active interlocutor with the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS), the Secrétariat aux Aînés, other ministries, health and social service institutions and all organizations committed to defending the rights of users and improving the quality of health and social services
Support
- provide members with technical support in carrying out their mission
- offer telephone and e-mail help
- provide legal information services
- provide working tools to support the committees' mission
- support the creation of regional tables or groups to foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas and experience
- offer a resource-rich website
- provide information through the publication of a newsletter and various promotional tools
Training
- offer users and in-patients committees basic training that meets their needs
- offer a post-training service to answer questions raised by participants
- offer specialized training on request
- offer ad hoc interventions as required
- organize an annual training-related conference
