20 years of defending users' rights

The RPCU Congress will mark the twentieth anniversary of our organization. The chosen theme, 20 years of defending users' rights, not only reflects the commitment of the RPCU and all its member committees to users, but also marks two decades of defending users' rights.

From September 25 to 27, at Centre de congrès de l’hôtel Delta Trois-Rivières, the congress will provide a unique opportunity for learning, knowledge sharing, training and exchange.

This year, we'll kick off the event with a networking activity where members will share their regional challenges in relation to their respective missions.

The Annual General Meeting (Assemblée générale annuelle) will take place on thursday morning, followed by training workshops in the afternoon. As in previous years, the Annual General Meeting remains an activity reserved for RPCU members in good standing, and resource persons and non-members are not permitted to attend. An activity will be set up for these participants and workshop details will follow shortly, so stay tuned.

The day will close with the gala evening, where we'll enjoy a special dinner to pay tribute to the users and in-patients committees and their members, with the presentation of the RPCU Excellence Prizes and the Denis Marceau Prize.

Finally, a panel discussion with high-profile participants is part of friday morning's program, providing an update on the Loi sur la gouvernance du système de santé et de services sociaux, the creation of the Agence Santé Québec and its impact. The work goes on, and we won't give up! We continue to count on you to ensure that the voice of users continues to be heard, and that the 12 rights of users recognized in the Loi sur les services de santé et les services sociaux (LSSSS) continue to be respected.
