The benefits of RPCU membership
As a member of the RPCU, your users or in-patients committee will be part of the organization that brings together the largest number of users and in-patients committees in Quebec, and is therefore the most representative. You will also enjoy the following benefits:
Member support
- A range of services developed over the years in three areas: representing you before various bodies, in particular the MSSS, supporting you day to day with our advice, and offering you relevant training related to your duties.
- Three free basic training courses (in French and English), sharing workshops and specialized training courses at a fixed price.
- Consultation services available on weekdays by phone or e-mail.
Participatory democracy and representation
- The right to take part in the RPCU general assembly and the right to elect your representatives to the Board of Directors.

Management and promotional tools
- Many management tools, including model operating rules and a Values and Ethics Guide.
- Promotional material offered by the RPCU (leaflets, posters, bookmarks, etc.) promoting the 12 users’ rights, which can be used all year round.
Networking and solidarity
- A congress attended by over 500 members of users and in-patients committees from across Quebec, a unique networking opportunity.
- Priority registration for the RPCU congress and special rates for attending.
Recognition and appreciation of members’ contributions
- The opportunity to apply for the RPCU Excellence Prizes and to attend the awards evening.
- A membership certificate for each of the users and in-patients committees of your facility and its sites.
