Mission tables
2024 Mission Tables
The Mission Tables (TDM) are an activity that RPCU members greatly appreciate and that is essential for the RPCU.
More than 150 members took part in the Mission Tables in 2023, and more than 100 members attended the workshop at the last congress in Laval, where they discussed the report from these Tables and identified courses of action.
This year, with a view to making our Tables permanent, the RPCU is continuing in the same direction with you. We are therefore proposing Tables on topics that caught members’ attention at the 2023 congress in Laval.
The goal of this initiative is to present the whole project to you at our next congress in Trois-Rivières.
We invite you to take part in the 2024 TDM. Here is what we are proposing this year.
Mission Tables on the RPCU’s 2024 action plan and current issues
During our discussions at the Laval congress workshop, several courses of action and issues were raised: recruiting new members for users and in-patients committees, training committee members, and Bill 15, An Act to make the health and social services system more effective.
We will therefore use the discussions at these TDM to move the RPCU’s priorities forward for the coming year.
Draft agenda:
- Review of the courses of action presented at the 2023 congress (2023 TDM report attached)
- Discussion and prioritization of actions for the RPCU
- Update on Bill 15, An Act to make the health and social services system more effective
In addition, to develop our member support and training strategies, we will discuss issues of particular concern to you:
- Recruiting members for users and in-patients committees
- Training members of users and in-patients committees
Proposed dates for the Zoom meetings:
- April 16: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- May 1: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- May 15: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- May 21: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Ad hoc Mission Tables on home support
At the 2023 TDM, participants noted that home support, intensive home support and hospital at home are major issues in every mission and every region.
To go further, the RPCU is proposing to hold an ad hoc TDM on this topic.
Draft agenda:
- Present the issues related to home support, intensive home support and hospital at home
- Listen to members’ experiences
- Exchange between regions
- Develop possible solutions and priorities for the 2024 congress
Proposed dates for the Zoom meetings:
- April 24: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- May 29: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
